Feed Your Face

Because your skin gets hungry too sometimes!

Here’s another easy to make skincare recipe for ya on this fine evening. This one is an olive oil moisturizer. It’s best to use this at night when your skin does its repairing & renewal.

You’ll wake up with soft, bright skin if you stay committed to keeping your face hydrated every night!

The Recipe

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar (apple cider vin. is ideal)
  • 1/4 cup H2O

Mix these three in a bowl, or a container you’ll be able to use for any extra product.  I used a mason jar & since all of the lids in my house disappeared just covered it with plastic wrap.

For best results refrigerate your mix before using it.. Leaving it out is fine, it’ll actually be easier to reverse any seperation if the liquids are warm.

After doing your nightly routine, whatever it may be, use this mixture as your face cream!

Olive oil is a great natural moisturizer; with its long list of antioxidants it will also cage those free radicals on your skin..  Apple cider vinegar has a pH that is about the same as most of our skin (5.5). This makes for a match made in heaven when using a.c.v. as a toner.  As for the water…..I mean, it’s water…so.. In this mix it’s used to create a smoother blend, but it’s essentially the most important liquid in all of our lives.

If you have some essential oils conveniently laying around they’d be a cool addition to this cream. You could give your face a pleasant scent while adding some extra benefits from the oils! However, if you don’t have casual viles of essential oil, no worries. Your skin will still benefit from this cream 🙂

Now get to feeding that face of yours!!

**Disclaimer: another reason to use this at night… your face will smell like feet because of the vinegar. but it’ll be worth it in the morning 😉
